Introducing “Karma”: The 2024 Long Range AWD Tesla Model Y Manufactured in Austin, Texas!

Welcome back to Tes lucky, the YouTube channel where you can follow the adventures of Karma, the Tesla! Today, we have some exciting news to announce. We have welcomed a brand new 2024 Tesla Model Y into our family, and we have named her Karma. It was quite a journey to get to this point, and we are thrilled to share all the details with you.

First and foremost, a huge shoutout to Ronald, the sales guy at the Coral Gables Tesla showroom, who made it all happen. He worked his magic to facilitate a same-day transaction so that we could get the exact specifications we wanted for Karma and take delivery on the same day. Ronald, if you’re reading this, thank you for your exceptional service and dedication to making this happen. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Karma is a long-range all-wheel-drive Model Y produced in January 2024 in Austin, Texas. She comes equipped with enhanced autopilot and the hardware for full self-driving, although we opted not to pay for the upgrade at this time. One of the standout features of Karma is her lithium-ion battery, which charges faster than our previous Tesla, Lucky. We were able to charge her up to an impressive 209 kW on our first visit to the supercharger, a significant improvement over Lucky’s maximum of 170 kW.

One of the most exciting aspects of acquiring Karma was the opportunity to transfer the free supercharging for life offer from Lucky. This special offer, combined with the $7,500 federal tax credit, made Karma an excellent value for us. We were able to secure Karma at a cost of $44,880 after the tax credit, and we believe she will serve us well for many years to come.

While we are thrilled to have Karma join our Tesla family, we want to clarify that we are not parting ways with Lucky. She will continue to be our daily commuter for my trips to and from Big Pine Key and Key West. Karma will be reserved for longer road trips and special occasions, allowing us to maximize the benefits of both vehicles.

In addition to the excitement of welcoming Karma into our lives, we also had a few unexpected adventures, including a mishap with Lucky’s Falcon Wing door and a last-minute rush to pick up Karma from the dealership. Through it all, we have been grateful for the support of our friends and the Tesla community, who have made this transition smooth and enjoyable.

As we look ahead to the future with Karma by our side, we are excited to share more of our Tesla adventures with you on Tes lucky. Be sure to subscribe and hit the notification bell for updates on our latest videos, including the introduction of Lucky and Karma to each other. Thank you for joining us on this journey, and we can’t wait to see where the road takes us next with our new Tesla companion, Karma.
