As a Tesla Model Y owner, I have always been fascinated by the design and features of this electric SUV. When Tesla launched the Model Y, I was immediately drawn to the Gemini Wheels that came standard with the vehicle. However, I couldn’t help but feel like they were a bit lackluster compared to the other wheel options available.
After some consideration, I decided to splurge on upgrading to the 20-inch Induction Wheels, and let me tell you, it was worth every penny. The Induction Wheels completely transformed the look of my Model Y, giving it a sportier, more aggressive appearance. The all-black design of the wheels added a touch of luxury and sophistication to the overall aesthetic of the car.
But, as with any upgrade, there were a few downsides to consider. Firstly, the black design of the wheels made them a bit harder to keep clean, as every speck of dirt and grime seemed to show up on them. Additionally, the Induction Wheels provided a slightly firmer ride compared to the standard 19-inch wheels that came with the car. And lastly, the rims stuck out quite a bit from the wheel, making them more susceptible to damage, specifically rim rash.
In my experience, I have had three instances where the rims of my Model Y have been damaged due to their protruding design. While it was disappointing to see those beautiful rims marred with scratches and dents, I couldn’t help but appreciate the unique look they added to the car.
Recently, I had planned to do a product review on a solution for protecting the rims of the Model Y, but after testing the product, I realized it wasn’t up to par. It was a tough decision, but I ultimately chose to turn down the sponsorship and affiliate link for the product, as I couldn’t in good conscience recommend something that I didn’t believe in.
Moving forward, I have decided to focus on creating content that truly reflects my beliefs and values as a content creator. While product reviews may not be the direction I want to take my channel in, I am excited to explore other avenues of content creation that align more closely with my creative vision.
