Achieving Full Coverage Glam Makeup Without Looking Cakey

Achieving a full glam look is a dream for many makeup enthusiasts, but it can often be a fine line between looking flawless and looking cakey. In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how to achieve an absolutely stunning full glam look without your face looking cakey. So, if you’re ready, let’s begin!

I always start my makeup routine with skincare, and today I’m using the Tara serum stick to enhance my complexion. This serum stick helps to even out your skin tone and provides a good base for anything else you plan to apply. Next, I apply a pore-filling primer to smooth out my skin. I’m using the Rare Beauty Always an Optimist Pore Diffusing Primer, which fills in pores and fine lines, making your skin extra smooth before applying foundation.

To even out my skin tone, I use a color corrector. The peach corrector from the NYX Color Correcting Palette cancels out blue and purple undertones, perfect for achieving flawless full coverage makeup. I apply it with a brush and blend out the edges to ensure a seamless finish.

For foundation, I’m using the Huda Beauty Triclone Skin Tech Foundation in the shade 300. I dot it on my face and press it in to avoid mixing with the color corrector. This technique ensures full coverage without looking cakey. I skip foundation under my eyes since I’ll be using concealer there.

Speaking of concealer, I’m using the Milani Concealer in shade 145 to cover dark patches and circles. I let it sit for a few minutes before blending it out with a dry sponge for maximum coverage. I also highlight the high points of my face with a lighter shade of concealer for added dimension.

To add warmth, I use a cream bronzer in the hollows of my cheeks and jawline. Setting the makeup with a translucent powder ensures it stays in place and prevents creasing. I also bake the high points of my face for a brightening effect.

Moving on to brows and eyes, I fill in my brows with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz and create a stunning smokey eye using the L Cosmetics Reload Palette. I line my eyes with a waterproof pencil and finish with mascara and false lashes for added drama.

For the lips, I line them with a neutral brow pencil and apply a Huda Beauty lipstick in Empress. A touch of gloss adds a bit of shine. Finally, I set the makeup with a dewy finish setting spray to lock everything in place.

And there you have it, a full glam look that’s classy and flawless without looking cakey. If you plan to recreate this look, don’t forget to tag me on social media.
