But as with any machine, there can be issues that arise, and I had recently encountered one with the air suspension.
It all started a few years ago, as I was driving on a familiar route in October. The smart air suspension system of the Tesla is designed to remember the position it was raised to in a specific location and adjust accordingly the next time you pass through. However, on this particular day, the system failed to raise the suspension as I approached the same spot, resulting in a message alerting me to the issue.
I immediately took my Tesla to the service center, where they informed me that the next available appointment was in three months. I reluctantly agreed to wait, but soon noticed that the suspension was sagging, causing the car to scrape against the bottom of the garage when entering and exiting. Concerned for my safety, I returned to the service center and expressed my worries.
To my relief, the service center agreed that the issue was not safe to drive with and promptly fixed the air suspension, as well as another issue with the backup camera. The quick turnaround and efficient service impressed me, despite the unexpected repair bill.
However, when I questioned the warranty coverage for the backup camera, I discovered that it should have been covered under a different warranty law in Norway. After some discussion, Tesla agreed to cover the repair under goodwill, saving me from additional costs.
The experience highlighted the importance of prompt and thorough service, especially when it comes to critical components like the air suspension. While waiting for repairs can be frustrating, the safety of the vehicle should always be the top priority.
As I drove off in my newly repaired Tesla Model X, I couldn’t help but appreciate the advanced technology and performance of the Electric Vehicle. Despite the minor hiccup, I remained a loyal Tesla enthusiast, eager to share my story and showcase the impressive capabilities of my 0.41 Optimus Prime.
In the end, the service center’s quick response and resolution of the issues reaffirmed my trust in the brand and its commitment to customer satisfaction.
