The decision to sell my Cyber truck after only a month of ownership was not an easy one, but it was necessary. The issues with the Cyber truck, such as panel gaps, sharp edges, and lack of promised features, made me realize that it was not worth the massive depreciation that was looming over it. With the market for electric vehicles constantly changing and prices dropping, I knew that if I didn’t sell now, I would lose a significant amount of money in the future.
I decided to take my Cyber truck to CarMax for an appraisal, hoping to at least break even on my investment. However, CarMax refused to make an offer on the Cyber truck, citing the volatile market and potential legal issues with Tesla. Disappointed but undeterred, I explored other options and found a great deal on a Cadillac lyric, a luxury electric SUV that offered more comfort, features, and value for the price.
In the end, I was able to trade in my Cyber truck for the Cadillac lyric and actually make a profit, thanks to the higher trade-in value and lower purchase price. The decision to sell my Cyber truck may have been a difficult one, but it ultimately proved to be the right choice. I now have a new Electric Vehicle that I truly enjoy driving, without the worry of massive depreciation hanging over my head.
As the Electric Vehicle market continues to evolve, it’s important to make smart decisions when it comes to buying and selling. While the Cyber truck may have had its appeal, the reality of its depreciation and issues made it clear that selling it was the best option. I am now looking forward to enjoying my new Cadillac lyric and all the comfort and features it has to offer.
