Comparing the True Expenses of Owning a Tesla versus Gas/Diesel Vehicles #Tesla #Diesel

As a truck driver, I spend countless hours on the road, transporting goods from one place to another. One thing that is always on my mind is the cost of fuel. With diesel prices constantly fluctuating, it’s important to keep track of how much money I am spending on fuel for each mile that I drive.

In my trusty truck, I am getting 14.8 miles per gallon. So far, I have driven 20,760 miles, which means I have used 1402 gallons of diesel fuel. At the current rate of diesel fuel, that adds up to a grand total of $6438. That’s a hefty sum of money just for fuel alone. When I divide that number by the total miles driven, I find that it costs me an average of 31 cents per mile to operate my truck.

Now, let’s compare that to my experience driving a Tesla. The electric car has been a game-changer for me in terms of fuel efficiency. In the Tesla, I have used 3142 kilowatt hours to go 10,996 miles. Here on the trobe, the price of electricity is 10.1 cents per kilowatt hour. When I multiply the number of kilowatt hours by the cost per kilowatt hour, I get a total of 317.34 cents. Dividing that by the total miles driven, I find that it costs me an average of 2.88 cents per mile to drive the Tesla.

The difference in cost between driving my truck and driving the Tesla is absolutely mind-blowing. While it may seem like a small difference on a per-mile basis, the savings really add up over time. Not to mention the environmental benefits of driving an Electric Vehicle.

As I continue my journey on the road, I am constantly looking for ways to improve my efficiency and reduce my costs. Whether it’s through better route planning, more efficient driving techniques, or investing in alternative fuel vehicles, every little bit helps.

In the end, it’s all about finding the balance between cost, efficiency, and sustainability. And with the ever-changing landscape of the trucking industry, it’s important to stay ahead of the curve and adapt to new technologies and practices. Who knows, maybe one day electric trucks will be the norm, and I’ll be able to say goodbye to those hefty fuel bills for good. But for now, I’ll continue to crunch the numbers and find ways to make my journey on the road as cost-effective as possible.
