Day 4 of WHOLE 21-Day Yoga Journey: Mindfulness Meditation

Welcome back to Mindfully Kiki, where we are on day four of our 21-day yoga journey. I am Keik, your yoga and mindfulness instructor, here to help you add a little mindfulness into your life through yoga, meditations, self-care techniques, and more.

Today, we are going to explore a mindfulness meditation that will help you enjoy the present moment and remain in it for a while. All you need for this practice is a comfortable seat and whatever you need to enhance your comfort, whether it’s a pillow, block, blanket, or anything else that feels good for you.

As we start this meditation, find a comfortable seat and let your knees come down towards the mat. Sit tall in your spine, relax your shoulders, and take three deep breaths in and out through your nose and mouth.

We will begin by noticing our body and any tension we may be carrying. Relax your shoulders, unclench your jaw, and find relaxation in your body. Then, shift your attention to the space around you, noticing the things in your environment without judgment.

Identify three things in your space that make you feel grounded and safe. Notice the sounds around you and how they make you feel in the moment. Focus on your breath, noticing the length of your inhales and exhales.

Reflect on the things that make you feel safe and grounded, and take a moment to appreciate them. Check your posture, sitting tall in your spine, and end the meditation with three deep breaths.

I want to hear from you – how did you experience this mindfulness meditation? Did you find it difficult to stay in the present moment? Share your thoughts in the comments below. Don’t forget to subscribe to my channel for more yoga flows, meditations, and vlogs.

Remember to add a little mindfulness into your life and be mindfully true to yourself. See you tomorrow for day five of our 21-day yoga journey. Stay mindful, stay true, and stay you.
