Dealing with Curb Damage on My Hellcat Wheels: How I Fixed It and What It Cost Me 😡

Hey guys, so I just wanted to share a quick story with you all about a recent experience I had with curb rash on my rims. As a car enthusiast who takes great pride in my vehicle, I always make sure to park a safe distance away from curbs to avoid any potential damage. However, despite my best efforts, someone else was driving my car and ended up scraping the back passenger side rim against the curb.

I was devastated to see the damage done to my rims, especially considering the amount of money I had invested in them. The setup I had at the time consisted of 275 tires stretched out on a 20 by 11-inch rim, with the rim lips sticking out a bit and exposed to potential damage from curbs. As the rim took the brunt of the impact, it ended up getting scraped up pretty badly.

Determined to fix the damage and restore my rims to their former glory, I quickly turned to Google to find a local rim repair shop. After making an appointment, I brought my car in and waited a few hours for the repairs to be completed. The end result was truly impressive – the rim looked as good as new, with no visible scrapes or chunks missing anymore.

The cost of the repair was $75 in cash, a small price to pay for the peace of mind knowing that my rims were back in pristine condition. With the damage repaired, I can now go back to parking far away from curbs without worrying about any further mishaps.

In the future, I am planning on covering up more of the rim with 315 tires, but I still want to maintain the sleek look of my rims without any visible damage. Curb rash may be an unfortunate reality for car enthusiasts like us, but it is reassuring to know that there are skilled professionals out there who can restore our rims to their original state.

I wanted to share my experience with fixing curb rash to reassure others who may have faced a similar situation. It is important to do your research and find a reputable repair shop in your area to ensure that your rims are in good hands. With the right expertise and tools, even the most damaged rims can be restored to look like new.

Thank you for taking the time to read about my experience with curb rash and rim repair. Stay tuned for more updates on my Charger and upcoming mods, including those 315 tires I mentioned earlier. Remember, accidents happen, but with the right resources, your car can always look its best. See you next time!
