Disabled Supercharging on Salvaged Tesla Model 3

Garth was feeling confident as he drove his Tesla Model Y towards Slidell, Louisiana. He had plenty of range left to make it back home, or so he thought. But then, he decided to test his theory by stopping at a Supercharger along the way.

As he pulled up to the Supercharger station, he noticed another Tesla Model Y parked next to him. Intrigued, he approached the owner, who seemed to be having some trouble.

“Hey, what’s going on?” Garth asked, trying to be helpful.

The owner of the other Tesla looked frustrated as he replied, “I have 35,000 miles on this car, and I’ve supercharged it over ten times without any issues. But now, it’s not letting me charge. I don’t understand what’s wrong.”

Garth was puzzled. He had never experienced any charging problems with his own Tesla before. He decided to take a closer look at the other car to see if he could figure out what was going on.

As he inspected the vehicle, he noticed some damage from a previous front-end collision that had been repaired. However, there didn’t seem to be any high voltage damage that would prevent the car from charging.

“What’s your problem?” Garth asked the owner. “There doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with your car that would prevent it from charging.”

The owner sighed and explained, “I just replaced the front clip and a cooler after the collision. I have 15,000 miles on this car since then, and I’ve never had any issues until now. I don’t understand why it’s not working.”

Garth thought for a moment before suggesting, “Maybe it’s a software issue. Have you tried resetting the system or contacting Tesla for assistance?”

The owner shook his head, “I haven’t tried that yet. I was hoping to figure it out on my own. But I guess I’ll have to give Tesla a call.”

As the owner reached for his phone to contact Tesla, Garth couldn’t help but feel grateful that he hadn’t encountered any charging problems with his own Tesla. He made a mental note to stay vigilant and keep an eye out for any potential issues in the future.

After a few minutes on the phone with Tesla, the owner of the other Tesla was able to resolve the charging issue. It turned out to be a minor software glitch that was easily fixed with a system reset.

As Garth watched the other Tesla owner drive away, he couldn’t help but feel relieved that his own car was running smoothly. He made a mental note to always stay prepared for any unexpected challenges that might arise on the road.

In the end, Garth realized that even the most reliable technology can sometimes encounter unexpected issues. It’s important to stay informed and proactive in order to ensure a smooth and hassle-free driving experience. And as he continued on his journey, he couldn’t help but think, “Well, I hope you’re wrong, buddy.”
