Honest Review of Tesla Model 3 Battery Replacement at 87,000 Miles

Hey guys, what’s up? Welcome back to another video on my channel. If you’re new here, my name is Josh Trane, and today I want to talk to you about my 2019 Tesla Model 3 standard range plus. It’s been almost 5 years since I got this car, and I thought it would be interesting to share my experience with you all.

When I first got my Tesla, I made some videos about picking it up and all the excitement that came with it. But now, after almost 5 years of ownership, I want to give you a more in-depth look at what it’s been like to have this car for this long.

Let’s start with the exterior. I haven’t done much to the car in terms of modifications. I haven’t tinted the windows or applied any paint protection film. Over the years, I’ve noticed that the paint is prone to rock chips, especially on the front bumper. I recently had to replace the bumper due to some damage from rocks hitting it.

Another issue I’ve faced is with the rear tires wearing out quickly due to the weight of the car and my heavy foot. I’ve gone through three sets of rear tires, but the front tires have held up well. The specific tires I use are the Michelin Premacy MXM4, which can be a bit pricey to replace.

Moving on to the interior, I’ve noticed some wear and tear over the years. The trunk struts are starting to give out, and the door handles sometimes get stuck. The steering wheel is showing signs of wear, and the seat sensor has malfunctioned, causing some inconvenience.

In terms of maintenance, I’ve had to replace the control arms due to squeaking, and I’ve changed the windshield wipers and tires. I also plan to replace the air filters soon. The most significant issue I faced was with the battery. I experienced a significant decrease in range, which led to a battery replacement under warranty. The process was smooth, and the Tesla service team was excellent in handling the issue.

Overall, owning a Tesla has been a great experience for me. The car requires minimal maintenance, and the savings on fuel costs are significant. If you’re considering buying a Tesla, I highly recommend it. And if you find my videos helpful, feel free to use my referral link for some perks.
