Today, I had the pleasure of experiencing Tesla‘s mobile service firsthand as I had my Tesla Model 3’s tires rotated and cabin air filter changed right in my own garage. It had been about 19,000 miles since I had new tires put on, and I knew it was time for a rotation. Instead of taking the time to do it myself, I decided to book a Tesla mobile service technician to come to my house and take care of it for me.
The convenience of having your vehicle serviced at home is truly unmatched. No waiting rooms, no wasted time sitting around at a service center – just the technician coming to you and completing the work right in your driveway or garage. And with today’s rainy weather, I was especially grateful to have the technician working in the comfort of my garage.
As the technician arrived with the model S and the two-ton floor jack, I knew I was in good hands. The process of changing the cabin air filter was quick and efficient, and I was relieved to finally get rid of the residual puke smell from when my daughter had an unfortunate incident in the car a few weeks ago.
Next, the technician moved on to the tire rotation, swiftly swapping the wheels and doing a lug nut torque to ensure everything was secure. The whole process was captured in a time-lapse video, which I shared on my Tesla Family channel for all to see.
After the work was done, I received the invoice for the service. The cabin air filter replacement cost $34 for parts and $23.40 for labor, which I found to be very reasonable. The tire rotation, priced at $65 for labor, was also well worth it in my opinion for the convenience and efficiency of the service.
In total, the service visit cost me $124.40, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The technician was friendly and professional, and the work was done quickly and effectively. If you’re considering having your Tesla serviced at home, I highly recommend Tesla‘s mobile service – it’s a game-changer.
