Is Paint Protection Film Worth the Investment? Uncovering the Reality of PPF.

Hey guys, Crow here! Welcome back to another video. Today, we’re going to discuss whether or not PPF (Paint Protection Film) is worth it. Should you PPF a car? And on top of that, I’ll be showing you guys the difference between a good install and a bad install when you PPF a car.

When it comes to PPF, finding a good installer is key. You want to make sure your edges are tucked in properly so that the film looks seamless on your car. Pre-cut kits can leave unsightly seams that can be visible when the car gets dirty, so opting for a custom cut is the way to go.

I recently had my GT4 fully wrapped in PPF, and I can say that the installer did a fantastic job tucking in the edges. On the other hand, I also have a Corvette that was only wrapped in the front, and the difference in quality is clear. A bad install can ruin the look of your car and defeat the purpose of PPF.

Price is another factor to consider when deciding whether to PPF your car. If your car is used and already has rock chips, it may not be worth it. However, if your car is new and valuable, investing in PPF for high impact areas like the front bumper, hood, fenders, and mirrors can be a good idea.

I made the mistake of not properly protecting my previous car with PPF, and after just two years, the film was in bad shape and had to be removed. It was a costly mistake that I don’t want you to make. Properly installed PPF can last between six to ten years, providing durable protection for your vehicle.

Ceramic coating can also be a great addition to PPF, making your car easier to clean and maintaining its appearance. However, it’s important to note that white vehicles may be more prone to the film turning yellow over time, so choosing a reputable installer and adding a layer of ceramic coating can help prevent this issue.

In conclusion, PPF can be a worthwhile investment for protecting your car’s paint and maintaining its value. It’s important to consider the value of your car, the quality of the installer, and the level of protection needed when deciding whether to PPF your vehicle.
