It finally happened after five long years of owning my Tesla, I found myself in need of a visit to a Tesla authorized body shop. It all started when I discovered that my car had been hit in a parking lot, causing damage to the rear bumper, rear passenger-side bumper, and quarter panel.
I went through the process of filing an insurance claim and getting estimates for the repairs. The estimates ranged from three thousand dollars for a fixable repair to over six thousand dollars if the quarter panel needed to be replaced. I decided to take my car to Marshall Auto Body in Waukesha, Wisconsin, the only Tesla authorized body shop in the state.
As I drove to the body shop, I noticed a Tesla Mobile Ranger, Jacob, on the road. I had a feeling he was headed to the same place, possibly with a bumper for my car. The drop-off at the body shop was quick and painless, and I eagerly awaited updates on the repair.
The repair process went smoothly, with the body shop exceeding my expectations. The paint job on the repaired panels was even better than the factory paint, and the interior of the car was detailed as well. I was impressed with the quick turnaround time and the professionalism of the staff at Marshall Auto Body.
While my car was in the shop, I had to rely on a gas-powered vehicle for transportation, which made me appreciate my electric Tesla even more. I also learned about the challenges of getting parts for Tesla repairs, as I saw a brand new Model S sitting at the body shop for months due to a lack of available parts.
Overall, my experience at Marshall Auto Body was positive, and I would highly recommend them for Tesla repairs. The quality of their work and the efficiency of their service left me feeling confident in their abilities. Despite the inconvenience of being without my car for ten days, I was grateful for the excellent job they did in restoring it to its former glory.
In conclusion, while the experience of needing to visit a body shop was not ideal, I am thankful for the expertise and professionalism of Marshall Auto Body. My Tesla is back on the road, looking better than ever, and I can once again enjoy the benefits of driving an Electric Vehicle. Here’s to many more years of smooth rides and minimal repairs.
