As a blog writer, I come across a variety of topics to write about, and today’s topic is a bit different than usual. Today, I want to share a personal experience that recently happened to me – the repair of my car after a crash.
In a previous video that I posted, I showed the damage to my car in detail, zooming in on the rocker panel and the bottom of the car. The estimated cost of repairs shocked me – $7,389. The insurance will cover most of it, but I still have to pay my deductible. The estimated time for the repair is three weeks, which seems like a long time to be without my Tesla.
I called the repair shop to inquire about the timeline, and they mentioned that the delay is due to the difficulty in getting parts from Tesla. The shop is a certified Tesla repair center, so I trust that they will do a good job.
In the meantime, I have a rental car from the insurance company, which means I have to pay for gas again. It’s a shock to go back to driving an ICE (internal combustion engine) car and paying for gas, especially with the current high gas prices. It makes me appreciate my Tesla Model 3 even more.
On a positive note, I recently got a new hoodie with my channel logo on it. I’m thinking about making these hoodies and possibly t-shirts available for sale to support my channel. If you’re interested, let me know in the comments.
I plan to document the repair process and share it with my viewers. I will do a final review when I pick up the car in three weeks, showing the before and after snapshots. I want to hear your thoughts on the repair cost – does $7,389 seem reasonable for the damage shown in the video? Have you had a similar experience with car repairs?
