Repairing Curb Rash on a Tesla Model 3 with Dupli-Color Scratch Fix All-in-1 Touch-Up Pen

Hey there, Tesla family! Today, I want to share a little mishap I had with my Model 3 recently. I was backing up and got a little too close to the curb, resulting in some curb rash on my wheel. It was about 6 inches long and definitely not a pretty sight. But fear not, I had a plan to fix it!

After doing some research, I came across a product called Dupli-Color Fix All-in-One Paint Pen on Amazon. It had everything I needed – an abrasive tip, a pinpoint tip with a rollerball, a tapered brush for the paint, and even a clear coat. I was excited to give it a try and see if I could make my wheel look good as new.

I started by using the abrasive tip to clean up some of the high and low spots on the damaged area. It wasn’t perfect, but it definitely helped smooth things out. Then, I used some isopropyl alcohol to clean the area and make sure it was ready for the paint.

Next, I applied the paint using the pinpoint tip and brush. The color was a dark shadow gray, which was supposed to be a close match to my wheel. After the first coat, I could already see a difference. It wasn’t perfect, but from a distance, you couldn’t even tell there was a scuff.

I decided to apply a second coat to fill in some of the lower spots and blend everything together. Once that dried, I applied the clear coat to seal the deal. After letting it dry for a while, I was amazed at the results. The color match was pretty close, and the scuff marks were barely visible.

I put the arrow cover back on and took a step back to admire my handiwork. From a distance, you couldn’t even tell there was any damage. It was like magic! I was thrilled with how it turned out, especially considering it only cost me $15 and some elbow grease.

If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, I highly recommend giving the Dupli-Color Fix All-in-One Paint Pen a try. It’s a quick and easy way to fix minor wheel damage without breaking the bank. Plus, it’s a satisfying DIY project that anyone can tackle.

So, if you liked this story and found it helpful, give me a thumbs up and leave a comment. Have you tried a similar product before? Did you have similar results? I’d love to hear about your experiences. And don’t forget to subscribe for more content from the Tesla family. Thanks for tuning in, and happy driving!
