In today’s episode of CA Builds, we are back with the Tesla Model 3 that was wrecked off of Kopar. If you haven’t seen the first video, be sure to check it out as we dig right into tearing it apart and seeing what we’re working with. The quarter panel is completely smashed in, and there is some suspension damage that needs to be addressed.
As we lift the car up and take off the wheel, we discover that there are broken control arms and other components that need to be replaced. The sway bar link is completely broken off, and the shock is damaged as well. It’s clear that there is a lot of work to be done to get this Tesla back on the road.
After getting some jack stands and disassembling more of the car, we uncover even more damage. The subframe is twisted, brackets are bent, and the spring has fallen out of place. It’s evident that a lot of suspension parts will need to be replaced, along with the subframe itself.
As we continue to disassemble the car, we discover the main reason why some of the electronics aren’t working. Wires have been completely cut in half, and components need to be replaced. The charging port and associated wiring are damaged, but once replaced, the car should start charging again.
After disassembling most of the exterior of the car, we find that the damage isn’t as bad as initially thought. The trunk tub looks to be in good shape, and the door and pillar only need minor repairs. The wiring has been soldered back together, and the car should now be able to start.
In the next video, we will continue disassembling the interior of the car and make any necessary repairs. We will also reveal the mileage of the car, and whoever guesses the closest will win $20. Stay tuned for more updates on this Tesla Model 3 rebuild project.
Thank you for watching and for all the support. Stay tuned for the next episode of CA Builds as we continue to work on this Tesla and get it back on the road. Don’t forget to comment your guess for the mileage and stay tuned for the next video. Peace.
