Hey everyone, welcome to 1.04 channel! Today, I’m going to give you a quick overview and review of the Tesla Model X. This is my Tesla Model X, it’s the 2016 90D, and I’ve owned it for about four months now. In this time, I’ve learned a lot about the vehicle and I want to share my experiences, especially if you’re considering buying one.
When we bought this 2016 Model X, it had about 75,000 miles on it. Over the past four months, we’ve had it in the Tesla service department a couple of times to address a few issues. I want to go through the vehicle, talk about its features, what we like, and maybe a few things we don’t like. Additionally, I’ll discuss the five or six things we had to address on this vehicle to get it refurbished and working correctly.
One thing I want to point out is that this is the 90D trim level, which is a good middle-of-the-road option. The acceleration is still good, and it accelerates from 0 to 60 in 4.8 seconds. The Model X has falcon doors that come up in the rear to access the second-row seat. Our Model X is the six-seater version, with two captain’s chairs in the second row and two seats in the third row.
During our ownership, we encountered a few surprises with the vehicle. The first surprise was that the vehicle did not have free supercharging, despite the previous owners having it. The second surprise was a drivetrain shutter issue that needed to be addressed.
We also had to address issues with the falcon doors, front door actuator motor, and the screen delamination. These were all covered under the extended warranty we had on the vehicle.
Overall, we have been very happy with the Tesla Model X. It’s a fun and practical family car, and despite the few issues we’ve encountered, we would buy it again. The electric car experience, the unique features like the falcon doors, and the overall driving experience have made it a great choice for us.
If you’re considering buying a used Tesla Model X, be sure to look out for these issues and consider getting an extended warranty for peace of mind.
