Hey girl, welcome back! Today, we are trying out Beauty by Serena Williams and I am so excited to share my thoughts with you. As a black-owned woman-founded makeup brand, Beauty by Serena Williams is a brand that I am thrilled to support. So, let’s dive right into these products and see what I love and what I am not really feeling.
Starting with the Calber primer, I was surprised to see that there wasn’t a primer in the collection, so I decided to use my own. The complexion product is actually a skin tint, so I didn’t necessarily need a primer, but I wanted to prime my skin anyway. The skin tint has a naturally radiant finish and I picked up the shade 375, which worked best for my complexion. It offers a decent amount of coverage, especially for a skin tint. With SPF 30 and a 72-hour hydration complex, it’s perfect for everyday use.
Moving on to the concealer, I tried the Nothing to See concealer in the shade 315 truffle. It has medium buildable coverage and a cream to powder formula, which I love. The Hydra complex provides 72 hours of hydration, and I was impressed with how well it blended out and looked on my skin.
Next, I tried the blush and lip product, which I found to be versatile and easy to use. The hot pink shade added a pop of color to my cheeks and lips, giving me a fresh and natural look.
I also tested out the brow pencil, which was my least favorite product from the line. While the formula was fine, I found the pencil to be too soft and not sharp enough for my liking.
The bronzer from NYX was a hit for me, despite having a slightly red undertone. It added a sun-kissed glow to my skin and smelled amazing.
The mascara was another standout product for me, with a unique brush that separated my lashes and added volume without clumping.
Overall, I was impressed with the majority of the products from Beauty by Serena Williams. The lipstick, lip oil, and mascara were definite winners for me, and I would recommend giving them a try. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below if you’ll be picking anything up from this collection. Thanks for reading and I’ll see you in my next blog post! Bye!
