Alright guys, buckle up because I have quite the story to share with you. It all started with my 2017 Black Focus RS, a car that I absolutely adore. I was cruising around town, enjoying the ride, when suddenly, out of nowhere, I heard a loud thud. I looked over to see some guy giving me a wicked door ding. My heart sank as I realized what had just happened.
I pulled over to assess the damage, and sure enough, there it was – a big dent and scratch on the side of my beloved RS. I was fuming, to say the least. I was just about to get it looked at to see how much the repairs would cost when I remembered that I was sitting in the car with my wife when the incident occurred.
I knew right then and there that I had to do something about it. I couldn’t let this guy get away with damaging my car and not taking responsibility for it. So, I decided to get the damage assessed and have the other guy’s insurance pay for it. After all, it was the least he could do after throwing his door into the side of my RS.
I took my car to the repair shop to get an estimate on the cost of the repairs. After a thorough inspection, the mechanic gave me the news – it was going to cost me $605 to fix the damage. Ouch. That was definitely not the news I was hoping for, but at least I had the satisfaction of knowing that the other guy’s insurance would cover the cost.
I made sure to document everything – from the initial incident to the repair estimate – and submitted a claim to the guy’s insurance company. It took a bit of back and forth, but eventually, they agreed to cover the cost of the repairs. It was a relief to know that I wouldn’t have to foot the bill for someone else’s carelessness.
In the end, justice was served, and my RS was back to looking as good as new. It was a rollercoaster of emotions, from anger to frustration to relief, but I learned a valuable lesson from the experience. Always be prepared for the unexpected, and never let someone get away with damaging your property.
So, the next time you’re out and about in your car, keep an eye out for those reckless drivers and be prepared to stand up for yourself if something like this happens to you. And remember, always drive safely and responsibly to avoid any unnecessary incidents. Stay safe out there, folks!
