What is the Total Cost of Maintenance and Repairs for our Pre-Owned 2016 Tesla Model X?

Lucky the 2016 Tesla Model X has been on quite the journey, racking up over 150,000 miles on her odometer. As she approaches her 8th birthday in August of 2024, it’s time to take a closer look at the maintenance and repair expenses we’ve incurred along the way.

In a recent video on the Tes Lucky YouTube channel, we delved into the details of Lucky’s routine maintenance and repair costs. With a comprehensive recap of all the expenses, we aimed to provide transparency and insight into what it takes to keep a high-mileage Tesla running smoothly.

From tire expenses to 12-volt battery replacements, we’ve covered it all in previous videos. But in this latest installment, we focused on the most recent maintenance expenses incurred over the past 11 months. With three new maintenance items totaling $989, including a front upper control arm assembly replacement, cabin air filter replacement, and a four-wheel alignment check, we’re keeping Lucky in top shape.

One notable repair that was covered under warranty was the replacement of the high voltage battery fuse, saving us from any additional costs. And with the average monthly maintenance expenses for Lucky gradually increasing as she ages, it’s important to stay on top of regular maintenance to prevent any major issues down the road.

Despite the rising costs, one thing to keep in mind is that we’ve saved a significant amount on oil changes, as Lucky doesn’t require any. With approximately 30 oil changes avoided, that’s a $3,000 savings on the Electric Vehicle experience.

As the Tes Lucky YouTube channel continues to grow and earn monetization, we’re grateful for the support from viewers and fans. From liking and sharing our videos to becoming channel members or sending donations, every bit of support helps us continue sharing our Tesla adventures with the world.

So whether you’re a Tesla owner yourself or simply a fan of electric vehicles, we hope you’ll join us on our journey with Lucky and Karma, her Tesla Model Y counterpart. And as always, safe travels to you in whatever you drive. Thank you for being a part of the Tes Lucky community!
