What to Expect During Your Tesla Model S Annual Service

Hey YouTube, it’s Ergo and today is an interesting day because last week I hit 15,000 miles in my Tesla, and today is the first time the car is getting serviced. I’ve had the car for almost a full year now, and other than a manufacturing problem at the beginning that required the drivetrain to be replaced, I haven’t had to do any servicing. Today marks the first annual servicing for the car, which will involve rotating the tires and updating the software.

As I head over to Tesla for the servicing, I can’t help but reflect on my experience with the car so far. It’s been a year of driving without the need for oil changes or gas – just pure electric power. The convenience of over-the-air software updates has also been a game-changer, ensuring that my car always has the latest features and improvements.

Arriving at Tesla, I see a Model X in the parking lot and marvel at its size compared to my Model S. The X is significantly larger, showcasing the variety of options available within the Tesla lineup. After dropping off my car, I am given a rental Tesla to drive around while mine is being serviced. It’s a different model with fewer features, but it still provides a glimpse of the Tesla experience.

After a few hours of driving around and exploring, I receive a message that my car is ready. Returning to Tesla, I compare the Model S and Model X side by side, appreciating the differences in size and design. It’s fascinating to see the variety within the Tesla family and how each model offers a unique driving experience.

Upon receiving my car back, I am pleased to see that it has been cleaned, the tires rotated, and the alignment fixed. The software update was not installed, but I quickly start the installation process once I get home. Watching the update progress, I am reminded of the seamless nature of Tesla‘s over-the-air updates, making it easy to keep my car up to date with the latest features.

After the update is complete, I take a moment to explore the changes in the software. While there may not be significant visible differences, knowing that my car is running on the latest version gives me peace of mind.

Overall, the servicing experience for my Tesla was smooth and hassle-free. Tesla‘s attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction is evident in every aspect of the process. From the rental car provided to the thorough servicing of my vehicle, I am impressed by the level of care and professionalism.

As I wrap up my day at Tesla, I reflect on the journey of owning a Tesla for a year. It has been a transformative experience, redefining my expectations of what a car can be. I am grateful for the opportunity to drive a Tesla and look forward to many more miles of electric-powered adventures.
