Hey guys, welcome back to my channel! Today, I’m excited to sit down and try a brand new foundation. This drugstore foundation has been highly anticipated and I can’t wait to see how it performs. The e.l.f Soft Glam Satin Foundation just dropped out of nowhere, so I had to get my hands on it for a wear test and try on.
I always like to start by going over the product claims and price before diving into the demo. This foundation retails for $8, which is a great price point for a drugstore foundation. It comes in 36 shades and claims to be a long-lasting, hydrating liquid foundation with medium buildable coverage and a satin finish. It’s infused with a hydrating hibiscus complex and is vegan and cruelty-free.
I applied the foundation with an e.l.f complexion duo brush and found that it blended easily, giving me a good light-medium coverage. However, I did notice that my redness still peeked through a bit, especially on my nose. After setting it with powder, my skin looked smooth and hydrated, but not overly oily.
Throughout the day, I did notice some wear on my chin and around my mouth, as well as some enhanced pores on one side of my face. While the foundation held up decently, I wouldn’t classify it as long-wearing, especially in the summer heat.
Overall, I found the e.l.f Soft Glam Satin Foundation to be a mediocre product. While it initially looked good on the skin, the wear throughout the day left something to be desired. I’ll continue testing it out and updating you on my thoughts.
If you’ve tried this foundation, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. And if you enjoyed this video, don’t forget to give it a thumbs up. Thanks for watching, and I’ll see you in the next one!
